The President’s Award is the highest honor bestowed upon Bob Barker Company Team Members each year. The award recognizes one or more Team Members whose contributions made the largest impact of the year. This year we recognized two individuals for the 2023 President’s Award. 2023 Bob Barker Company President’s Award Winner:
Shane Deese – Logistics Management Specialist
Shane worked hard last year to take the lead on finding a great solution that allowed him to think more strategically and find solutions to some of our biggest freight headaches, save money, support our sales organization in exceptional ways, and elevate our customer experience.
By making adjustments to our carrier protocols, Shane saved the company a massive amount in freight costs. Shane is very easy to work with and is often seen collaborating with others in the business to ensure we are doing the right things for our business and our customers.
He often gets great compliments from his peers.
Kyle Norling, Account Manager, said: “I want to express my appreciation for Shane Deese. The customers in my territory are all very happy right now because of his hard work. Every experience I’ve had with Shane has been positive and I’m confident he will do whatever is in his control to help our customers receive their product. I can’t say enough good things about Shane and how great it is to work with him. It’s a privilege to work with him and he’s truly an asset to Bob Barker Company.”
Tom Mikita, Regional Sales Manager said: “I’d also like to give Shane kudos for his help on all our projects! His ‘can do’ attitude is so appreciated by us out here. He also works closely with my team on complicated shipments and tight delivery windows. He really is an incredible Team Member. Please let him know how much we appreciate him out here on the Western side of the country.”
Earl Marley, Account Manager, said: “The sense of urgency that Shane puts into his work is extremely appreciated and really helps us keep our head high while having talks with customers about delivery expectations.”
Shane is a huge asset to the company and he is always willing to help while keeping a great attitude. Shane is not afraid to take calculated risks associated with logistics to help drive positive change for the business.
