Each year, Bob Barker Company hosts several opportunities for groups of our Account Managers throughout the country to gather and discuss our customers’ needs, the ever-changing detention and corrections landscapes, and new products that we offer. However, the National Sales Meeting is the premier time for our Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Bids Team, and other Team Members to get together under one roof to start the year. And due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 2024 presented the first chance to gather the entire team in person since early 2020.
We met in beautiful Savannah, Georgia, which provided an exciting setting to kick off the year. The meeting, although short, was packed full of great content and opportunities to learn from one another. The first night of the meeting included a small gathering where we had the chance to catch up with Team Members who we have not seen in a long time. Our West Zone Account Managers do not often get to spend time with our East Zone Account Managers in person, so we took time to enjoy each other’s company. We also had a presentation from our Product Group that showed how a product goes from an idea, all the way to being offered in our catalog.
The second day of our meeting involved spelling out our goals for 2024 and how we plan to continue providing the best customer service to our customers. We heard from our Digital Team about all the new features we will soon be offering customers on our website, and we held breakouts where we brainstormed new ideas on how to continue providing the best customer service in our market. We also had a town hall session where members of our Sales Team could ask questions of one another and our leadership. It was a very insightful day!
Our final day at the National Sales Meeting proved to be incredibly inspirational. We first held our Awards Brunch to celebrate all the hard work of our Sales Team in 2023. We then wrapped up the meeting by hearing from Devlin Neal, Chair of our LIFT Team Member Resource Group, and Kurtis Taylor, Executive Director of the Bob Barker Foundation. They told stories that reinforced the “why” behind the Bob Barker Foundation and the role we all play as Bob Barker Company Team Members. It was a fantastic way to end the 2024 National Sales Meeting!
