At Pine Acres Community Center, located in the heart of Lincoln Heights neighborhood in Fuquay-Varina, this spirit of generosity was alive and well this past holiday season, thanks in part to a special donation from the Bob Barker Company.

Bob Barker Company, a long-time partner of Pine Acres Community Center, stepped up to make a difference in the lives of more than 200 families during Christmas. Our Company made donations that helped feed 200 families, ensuring that they could enjoy a hearty holiday meal.

Tina Hocutt, a member of the Bob Barker Company's Finance team, was among those who volunteered to pack and distribute the meals. For Tina and others, being able to directly contribute to making Christmas a little brighter for families facing hardships was a truly rewarding experience.

But the partnership between Bob Barker Company and Pine Acres Community Center extends far beyond the holiday season. Since mid-2020, Bob Barker Company has been a consistent supporter of Pine Acres' mission to serve the local community. Whether it's through monthly donations, volunteer efforts, or other forms of assistance, Bob Barker Company has remained dedicated to helping Pine Acres fulfill its vital role to support those in need.

For those unfamiliar with Pine Acres Community Center, its significance to the Fuquay-Varina community cannot be overstated. Established in 1962, Pine Acres has been a cornerstone of the neighborhood, providing essential services and programs for over six decades. From Meals-on-Wheels and educational services to youth programs and disaster relief efforts, Pine Acres has been a lifeline for countless individuals and families.

Throughout the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Pine Acres has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving the community. As a distribution hub for the Wake County Public Schools System Child Nutritional Services food programs, Pine Acres played a crucial role in ensuring that children continued to receive essential meals even during the most difficult times. Additionally, Pine Acres has provided vital resources such as PPE, sanitizer and masks to help keep the community safe and healthy.

At its core, Pine Acres Community Center is more than just a nonprofit organization — it's a symbol of resilience, compassion, and community spirit. Managed by a dedicated volunteer board of directors, Pine Acres relies on the support of donors like the Bob Barker Company to continue its important work.
