Customer Spotlight: Sergeant Daniel Sheline
At Bob Barker Company, we’re proud to work with professionals like Sergeant Daniel Sheline, who has spent 28 years at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. In his current role, he manages supply operations to ensure the facility has the supplies it needs.
Daniel also oversees the facility’s accreditation with the American Correctional Association, a process that helps improve safety and quality of life for both the staff and residents. “We've been through six ACA audits over the years, and our seventh one is coming up next year,” he shared. “It’s been nice to get us on that national level of recognition and we’re very proud of that.”
In addition to their impressive accreditation record, the Lake County Detention Center offers various re-entry and educational programs for residents, further demonstrating their commitment to rehabilitation and safety. Bob Barker Company is proud to support this commitment with products like the VersiFlex™ kitchen line, which Daniel noted as particularly impactful. “The flexible cups and spoons have increased our safety tremendously. We actually originally got them for our maximum-security inmates, and now we issue those to every inmate,” he said.
But for Daniel, what stands out most about his job are the people. Over nearly three
decades, he has built strong connections with his colleagues and developed a meaningful relationship with Bob Barker Company. He applauded Bob Barker Company as a consistent and dependable supplier. “I just emailed my representative this morning. There was a pricing problem on one of our invoices and within 5 minutes I heard back. He's fixing the problem for me right away. I've always had great interactions with our customer reps,” he said. He also enjoys connecting with our team at industry conferences.
At Bob Barker Company, we value long-standing partnerships built on trust, service, and shared purpose. Working with professionals like Sergeant Sheline inspires us to continue supporting correctional facilities in their mission to create safer, more rehabilitative environments.
