October is Global Diversity Awareness Month, and we have been celebrating all the unique nationalities, cultures, heritages and religions that make Bob Barker Company a truly special place to be. Each Wednesday throughout the month, we invited Team Members to share information about their backgrounds. We enjoyed hearing about the families, art, traditions, foods and facts from the numerous countries and backgrounds represented by our Team Members.
During each presentation, several Team Members gave a presentation about their countries of origin or heritage. They included pictures, music and videos, and we even learned a few new sayings in non-English languages. It was fascinating to learn not just about these other countries, but about how our Team Members keep their traditions alive throughout the year. We were even treated to some food from other countries as well.
Throughout the last four weeks, we heard from Team Members representing the following countries and cultures: Bosnia, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Micronesia, Moravian Church, Nepal, Peru, Slovakia and South Africa.
Global Diversity Month has been a wonderful learning experience at the Bob Barker Company, and we can’t wait to hear more about the cultures of the rest of our Team Members!
